Das Semester neigt sich so langsam dem Ende entgegen. Aus diesem Grund freuen wir uns, dass wir am kommenden Mittwoch gemeinsam mit euch auf ein Glas Cava anstossen dürfen. Cava ist ein spanischer Schaumwein, der vor allem in Katalonien, rund um die Region Penedès, hergestellt wird. Er reift nach der traditionellen Flaschengärung („Método Tradicional“), ähnlich wie Champagner, und zeichnet sich durch feine Perlage und ein ausgewogenes Zusammenspiel von Frische und Komplexität aus. Typische Rebsorten sind Macabeo, Xarel·lo und Parellada, die zusammen Aromen von grünem Apfel, Zitrusfrüchte und frischen Kräutern entfalten.
Die Weine stellt Doris von Ciudad Condal vor, die die spanischen Weinregionen wie ihre Westentasche kennt – sie wird daher alle Deine Fragen kompetent beantworten können.
The semester is slowly coming to an end. For this reason, we are delighted that next Wednesday we will be able to raise a glass of Cava with you. Cava is a Spanish sparkling wine produced primarily in Catalonia, around the Penedès region. It matures via the traditional method of bottle fermentation (“Método Tradicional”), much like Champagne, and is characterized by its fine bubbles and a balanced interplay of freshness and complexity. The typical grape varieties—Macabeo, Xarel·lo, and Parellada—combine to reveal aromas of green apple, citrus fruits, and fresh herbs.
The wines will be presented by Doris from Ciudad Condal, who knows the Spanish wine regions like the back of her hand—and will therefore be able to answer all your questions competently.
