Same same, but different! This is the essence of what a vertical tasting is: Tasting the exact same wine, but from different vintages!
In the vertical tasting on Tuesday, 21.10.25 at 19:00 Uhr, which our board member Rafael has curated for us, you get the chance to taste how the different weather conditions influence the flavour profile of a wine and how a wine matures in the bottle over the years. With the youngest vintage being 2021 and the oldest 2001, Rafael has gathered a lineup spanning 20 years! The wine in question is a left-bank Bordeaux from Chateau Laffitte Laujac, a medium-big producer with a yearly output of around 200 000 bottles.
Bordeaux wines are famous for their age-worthiness and developpment over 5 to 30 plus years. This tasting will give you the unique opportunity to taste more than 7 vintages of the same wine, taking your tastebuds on a journey through the last two decades. From the tertiary flavours of the most matured wine to youthfull tannins of the recently bottled vintages, you can find out for yourself how old you enjoy your wine the most.
